“Because above all people need love” was the reason that Little Brothers' founder, French nobleman Armand Marquiset, entered the lives of lonely and isolated elderly in France in 1946. After witnessing the suffering and hardships of the elderly after World War II, Marquiset began visiting and delivering hot meals with flowers to the elderly poor in Paris.

In continuing Marquiset's mission of friendship – flowers before bread – Little Brothers strongly believes that people need the special pleasures in life in addition to the basic necessities. We feel that love and dignity and beauty in life are as basic as physical needs. Our strong belief in this motto is reflected in the activities at all of our locations, which include holiday meals and birthday visits.

We do everything in the spirit of friendship. For us, the quality of our services is just as important as the services themselves.
Nine United States cities and 9 countries have now joined Little Brothers in this special mission of friendship and service to the elderly.
