The Elderly

In the general population Little Brothers serves, 78% are women, 74% are African-American, 24% are Caucasian and 2% are Hispanic; 82% live in north central, west, south and the lower northeast Philadelphia; 95% are at 150% of poverty or below; 57% are over 80; all live alone with the exception of a very few who live with a close family member (spouse, sibling) who is also 65.
